Church of the Blessed Sacrament complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which sets standards for accessibility in public buildings.
Physical Accessibility
Entrances & Exits:
All entrances and exits have level access meaning there are zero stairs leading up to the building.
All doors are wide enough for wheelchairs with handicap door openers.
Parking:
Handicap parking spaces near the entrance.
Restrooms:
Handicap stalls in every restroom as well as one specified handicap restroom.
Elevator:
Easy access to both floors.
Seating:
Wide pews and aisles make for accessible seating options through the entire Nave.
We encourage and invite all persons with disabilities to sit up front or anywhere you would like to be amidst the congregation. We want to ensure that everyone has a profound encounter with God in the Mass. Do not feel like you need to sit "out of the way."
Visual and auditory accessibility
Visual:
2 projectors at the front of the Nave. They are large-print liturgical guides that make it easier to follow along with the Mass and can comfortably be seen from the furthest pew in the back.
Auditory:
Hearing Assistance Induction Loop System. To use: turn your hearing device to the 'T' setting or request a loop receiver.
